Q&A with Corinne Morley from Trilogy Skin Care

Corinne Morley from Trilogy Skin CareCorinne Morley is in-house beauty expert and Global Sales and Marketing Manager for Trilogy. A passionate international beauty specialist, she has a comprehensive industry background encompassing beauty therapy, training, research and product development.

1. What are the origins of Trilogy products and what led to the brand being created?

Wellington sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot launched Trilogy with five rosehip oil products, having pioneered a new method of extracting the purest, finest quality oil from rosehip seeds. Ours was one of the first cosmetic certified organic pure rosehip oil to market so we were at the forefront of creating rosehip oil natural skincare.  

2. What makes Trilogy different to other organic & natural brands?

At Trilogy we only use the word 'organic' to describe ingredients holding certification verified by a recognised third party accreditation body. Without certification, we believe the word 'organic' can be misleading.  For the sake of clarity for our customers, we apply this standard to our finished products as well. I think those brands that live up to their claims will continue to dominate and others may struggle to survive. Our NATRUE Natural Cosmetics Certification means people looking for truly natural skincare can choose Trilogy products with confidence.  Internationally recognised, the certification offers an independent guarantee of authenticity.

3. Why are Trilogy products so effective?

We believe you don’t have to sacrifice quality for natural. From the beginning, we set out to make products which perform as well as, if not better than, the more traditional synthetic and mineral oil-based alternatives.

We’ve formulated the moisturisers in our Face Care range to include Rosapene™, our trademarked antioxidant complex. It’s the power behind Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+, which has won half a dozen international beauty awards in its first 12 months on the market!

4. When someone buys a Trilogy product what are they guaranteed to get?

Products that work in true harmony with the skin made with fine, natural ingredients in their purest form. Trilogy products are extremely gentle yet effective.   Also, we are a Cruelty Free Accredited company and our ingredients are sourced from leading suppliers all over the world, using fair trade sources wherever possible.

5. If you could sum up Trilogy products in 5 words what would they be?

We have three little words that define our philosophy, simple, pure, vital. If I were to add another two, they would probably be ‘powerfully natural’.  

6. Which is your favourite Trilogy Product and why?

I can’t live without our Ultra Hydrating Face Cream – it’s so satisfyingly moisturising for dry, parched skin.  My skin is also sensitive and quite reactive, so Very Gentle Calming Serum is my must-have SOS treatment.  I use it copiously on my kids in summer too; it’s great for soothing itchy bites, calming minor skin reactions and reducing inflammation.  

7. What does the future hold for Trilogy in the UK with regards to new products etc?

We think there’s still plenty of room to grow within our primary areas of expertise, skincare, body care and hair care. With constant monitoring of industry trends, new ingredients and new technologies, we’ll keep doing what we do best - creating simple yet cutting-edge natural skincare formulations which deliver results.
