Unveil a Summer Glow this Spring!

Spring has sprung, and whilst the elements have delivered us a mixed bag - sunny, rainy, hailing, bright, brrrrrrr, we’ve had it all in just a few days - there’s no doubt that warmer weather is on the way. Hurrah! Have you looked after your skin this winter though? Have you still got your glow, and is your body buff in the buff, or does it need buffing rather badly?! Have no fear, for we’re here to deliver some tips to get even the most neglected bodies back to their former, bright and glowing, glory!

Body Talk

If you’ve barely moisturised this winter, start by looking for a body wash that replenishes the skin whilst also cleansing. JASON Smoothing Coconut Body Wash could be just the product for you. Formulated with organic coconut oil and nourishing shea butter, this low-foaming body wash is like a two-in-one product, cleansing and moisturising in one go!

Sometimes moisturisation isn’t enough on its own, ladies you need to exfoliate! Like the body wash, Yes To Coconut Polishing Body Scrub contains coconut oil along with sweet almond oil and kukui nut oil to help moisturise and nourish the skin whilst powdered coconut shell gently removes all signs of dead, dry and flakey skin. Depending on how badly you’ve neglected your skin, you may need to exfoliate 2-3 times the first week, but thereafter a weekly rub down will do!

Body brushing is great to help improve circulation and help to break down fatty tissue deposits and cellulite. For best results practise daily; use long sweeping strokes up your legs and arms. Repeat over each area at least 10 times. You’ll notice a difference in just a couple of weeks, plus you will feel energised after your body brushing session!

Before reaching for your everyday moisturiser stop, look and listen to your skin. Does it feel tight, dehydrated on the inside but smooth on the outside, or is it rough and cracked on the outside. Any kind of internal feeling is best remedied with an oil, but for treated the outer layers of the skin, reach for a cream. For an intensive body oil treatment that just smells heavenly, try Antipodes Heavenly Body Oil (well, heavenly by name!) There are eight avocadoes worth of avocado oil in every bottle, that’s a lot of vitamin E and other goodness for the skin. For a cream that helps keep moisture on the surface of your skin, Barefoot Botanicals SOS Face & Body Rescue Cream is a fabulous product with borage oil, shea butter and evening primrose oil and potent herbal extracts including calendula, burdock and mahonia to soothe irritation and rehydrate seriously parched skin

Face Facts

Exfoliate your skin but only so much - if your skin is dry 1-2 times a weeks should suffice, oily 3-4 times. Green People Fruit Scrub is a fabulous product which balances oil in the skin, and has a gorgeous uplifting citrus fragrance.

There are so many face masks on the market, and right now what your skin needs is some deep nourishment. Forget the peels, and deep detoxing, you want deep hydration and nourishing face masks. Try Inlight Super-Food Face Mask to feed your skin from the outside in!
