To make your foundation look more natural and not 'caked on' mix some primer into your foundation before applying to make it more translucent.

Use good quality natural cosmetics is key and my best tip - oooo so many but I would say to make eyes look bigger and more sparkly keep your liner to the outer two thirds of your eye top (and bottom if you wish) with a darker liner very close to the top lash line and use a pale eyeshadow on the inner third of your lid towards the tear duct to really open up your peepers. For those more ahem mature like me use a pale matte shade or one with only very little sheen nothing too sparkly to avoid that crepy lid look :)

If you are a lover of bright or sparkling eye make up esp with any eye-shadow that tends to fall out, then I suggest that you do your eyes first even before your face primer/serum as if you get fall out & need to clean up then you don't want to be rubbing of your face products & make up work as that costs time, money & products!

If you have no fixing or setting spray to keep your make up in place, hairspray works wonders. Just lightly spritz over your make-up on your face to help it stay in place for longer!

I think for any age of female, the various techniques of contouring our faces, using highlighting and shading can really make the difference in making the best of our features. Drawing the eye in where we want it and away from perhaps our not such best features will give you confidence and you will glow not just from your skin but also from within.
You can use purpose made highlighters and contour powders or just what you have in your everyday make up bag.
It brings clarity and definition to your face and with some practice won't take much longer than just applying your traditional foundation, blush and powder combo!
A good base ie clean, moisturized and primed skin on which to build upon is essential for a fabulous final result!
